JANE COLLINS
The aviation community is deeply saddened by the loss of
Jane Collins, wife of Col. Ken
Collins,
USAF (Ret) and former CIA A-12 pilot for Project Oxcart at Area 51 and
Operation Blackshield at Kadena, Okinawa. Jane will be remembered as a loving,
giving, personable lady who supported Ken's military career as well as his
corporate endeavors thereafter. They were married for 54 years and have 4
children. Memorial services will be held on 20 July 1:00 p.m. at The
Neighborhood Church, 415 Paseo del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates, CA. with Rev.
Blair Kirkpatrick presiding.
There will be snacks and coffee at the church after the service. For those
needing motel lodging, rooms have been blocked out about 15 miles south of the
Los Angeles Airport at the Palos Verdes Inn, 1700 South Coast Highway, Redondo
Beach, CA 90277, 310-316-4211 or 800-421-9241. Lodging has also been blocked
out at the Best Western Redondo Beach Inn, 1850 South Coast Highway in Redondo
Beach.
Jane supported and worked with the General & Mrs Curtis E. LeMay
Foundation from 1968 through 1980, until Ken retired from the Air Force. This
Foundation provides financial assistance to Air Force indigent widows in need
of help. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the
name of Jane Bingham Collins to the General & Mrs Curtis E. LeMay
